Italy lost 4-1 to Norway in World Cup qualifying at the San Siro on Sunday night.
Italy needed to score at least nine unanswered goals to secure automatic qualification, but after a strong first half the visitors consolidated their lead in the match.

Federico Dimarco almost put the hosts ahead when the ball came to him in the penalty area, but he could only shoot wide of the goal.
The Inter Milan defender assisted the opener by feeding teammate Francesco Pio Esposito, who beat his marker before guiding the ball into the net.
Antonio Nusa crossed just after the half-hour mark in what was a rare chance for Norway in the first half.
DiMarco and Esposito almost teamed up for another goal when the former crossed into the box, but this time the latter could not find the back of the net.
The visitors began to press early in the second half, and Alexander Sorloth failed to hit the target from the penalty area.

Noosa leveled for Norway with a superb strike from inside the box just after the hour mark, with the outstretched Gianluigi Donnarumma unable to contain his shot.
Musa almost gave Norway the lead but Donnarumma made a brilliant save to keep the score level.
The Manchester City goalkeeper was eventually beaten by teammate Erling Haaland, who gave Norway the lead with a superb volley.
Two minutes later, Haaland gave the visitors a two-goal lead with a strike from inside the area, with Jorgen Strand Larsen sealing the win in stoppage time.
Norway reached the World Cup final for the first time in 27 years, while Italy will have to go through the knockout stages to avoid a third consecutive absence.
