Epic Games Store mobile wraps up November with Universe for Sale as a freebie

If you missed The Universe for Sale the first time, you have a great excuse to fix it now. The Epic Games Store mobile app is giving it away for free this week, from November 27 to December 4. It is available worldwide on Android and in the EU on iOS. Not a bad deal for one of the most distinctive narrative adventures released in recent memory.

We talked about the game back when it launched on iOSand its atmosphere has not lost its charm. In Universe for Sale, you enter this abandoned colony floating in the clouds of Jupiter (keep the science going here). It's a place where the weather app often shows acid rain and strangers in tea shops casually chat about enlightenment and pocket universes.

Speaking of strangers in teahouses, much of your journey revolves around meeting the strange inhabitants of the colony, be it monkeys or skeletal creatures. As you progress, you will also gradually unravel the story of Leela, a woman who can create entire universes in the palm of her hand.

A Universe for Sale originally started out as a comic book, which isn't surprising given how narrative-driven it is. Each frame carries a piece of the graphic novel's DNA. Colangelo's art style is also clear with hand-drawn, moody, expressive and rich details that draw you deeper into this floating slum.
