The eternal problem with online arrows Any variation of the leveling system is that you eventually run out of space and can no longer progress. This is why many of them essentially allow you to reset your levels or boost your prestige as it is often colloquially known. Arc Raiders is one such game that will feature such a system, and in a new blog post, developer Embark has outlined what you get by purchasing Prestige.
blog post discusses the game project “Expedition”, the prestige version, explaining that it will begin on December 17th and will last for a six-day period until December 22nd. During this period, you can leave the Rust Belt permanently if you have reached level 20, and will start with a new character with some buffs and benefits.
Here's how it works: once an expedition leaves, all the items you have in your stash are transferred to it. Every million value coins earns you an extra skill point that you can use on your new raider, with the opportunity to earn a total of five skill points. Restarting with a new raider means your skill tree, level, stash, workshop, crafting abilities and blueprints will be completely reset, but you won't have to do the initial registration again.
In addition to some permanently unlocked bonuses, completing an expedition gives you Raider Patchwork Gear, Janitor Patchwork Cap, Expedition Meter Badge, and +12 Stash Spaces. You also get some temporary boosts, such as a 10% repair boost, a 5% experience boost, and 6% more materials from Scrappy. One thing to note, however: “Account buffs will expire if you decide not to go on your next expedition. Keep in mind that the strength of the buffs will increase over the next three expeditions (but only one trip is allowed during each expedition window!).
Explaining why they're doing this with the progression wipe, Embark said that making the Expedition project optional is “a solution to some of the problems that inevitably arise with mandatory wipes—particularly by respecting your time investment in the game.” They want to offer people the choice to do better if they have yet to do something, and if they are ready to move on, they can do it. Basically, start planning what you want to do as early as December 17th! Happy raiding in Ark!
