New changes in Elden Ring: Nightreign
FromSoftware is expanding Ancient Ring: The Kingdom of Night this week with The Forsaken Hollows expansion. The new content features two playable characters, two additional bosses, and the Shifting Earth event, which adds a new layer to the world. To access any of this new content, the developer today released Nightreign patch version 1.03 for PC and consoles.
This update focuses heavily on improving the flow of combat. One of the main changes expands the conditions for triggering relic effects. Passive abilities now activate more consistently, supporting a wider range of attack styles. Players who rely on two-handed weapons or weapons will notice improved attack power. Chain attacks, charged attacks, and jump attacks also benefit from these updates, creating a more dynamic combat rhythm.
Spell users also gain an advantage. Wrath of Gold now provides more power while consuming less FP, making it more reliable in difficult battles. The patch also addresses several issues. One of the fixes addresses an issue during the Augur Invasion where players would teleport to unintended locations if they scored a critical hit at the wrong time. Another improvement mitigates the issue that sometimes prevents players from activating Places of Grace or Churches, helping to ensure smoother progression through key areas.
The expansion officially launched today, opening the door to new challenges and characters for players looking to return to the world of Nightreign. You can check full patch notes right here to explore all the changes included in this update.
