'Dancing With the Stars' Elaine Hendricks Talks Hospitalization and Missing Halloween Episode
Elaine Hendricks not ready to take my final bow.
Left out of the game after a rib injury That The Parent Trap star during the October 28 episode Dancing with the Stars– make the series show her last dress rehearsal with her partner Alan Bersten instead of a live performance, Elaine shared an update on her health from her doctors.
“They can't really know if I've torn a muscle or if it's sprained,” she said in her pre-performance video on the Nov. 4 episode. “I’m doing everything I can to recover, including not dancing for a couple of days, which is stressing me out.”
However, despite the injury, doctors allowed the 54-year-old athlete to return to the dance floor.
“I'm so grateful that we can continue to move forward,” she continued. “I expecting to feel pain. I don't care.”
Sure enough, Elaine moved forward and danced a Viennese waltz with Alan. Dionne Warwick“What the World Needs Now” in honor of the episode's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame theme. The performance ultimately received rave reviews and a score of 37 from the judges. Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and guest judge Taste Flav.
“I've received so much love and support right now,” Elaine told the host. Julianne Hough after her performance. “I am beyond grateful and thank you all so much.”
She concluded: “I feel very grounded, strong and grateful.”
Elaine earlier confirmed to fans that she was “all right” after missing the season 34 Halloween special episode.
