Eagles-Commanders Break Out in Brawl after Two-Point Conversion

The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders took their play to the next level on Sunday after the Eagles' two-point conversion drive late in the game at Northwest Commanders Stadium led to a brawl between the teams.

Eagles backup running back Tank Bigsby ran for a 22-yard touchdown, putting the Eagles ahead of the Commanders 27-10. Eagles coach Nick Sirianni then went for a two-point conversion and succeeded when Saquon Barkley ran across the left side of the offensive line, according to Sports Illustrated.

Barkley had to fight his way through the commanders to return to his team, but the situation escalated.

Soon the teams began to fight under a shower of yellow flags.

Three players were ejected from the game. Commanders defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw, Washington safety Quan Martin and Eagles offensive lineman Tyler Steen eventually headed to the shower.

The victory sent the Eagles into the playoffs with the NFC East title. In fact, Philadelphia is the first NFC East team to win back-to-back titles since the Eagles did the same from 2001-04.
