Madden 26 is the first game in the series for a Nintendo console since Madden 13, released in 2012. The Switch 2 port doesn't look as pretty or perform as well as the PS5 and Xbox versions, but it's by far the best Madden on a portable gaming system.

Like the two football games, NBA 2K26 has launched 8/10 in GameSpot review. This result is based on the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions of the basketball simulator. The Switch 2 version has the same game modes but runs at 30fps at a lower resolution. NBA 2K26 for Switch 2, like Madden 26, is probably the best basketball game on the handheld console. The original Switch version lacks a lot of features and online modes and is pretty rough looking. It's still playable on Switch, but the Switch 2 version is much better.
NBA 2K26 is a game key card for Switch 2. When you first install the cartridge, you will need to download game data from the online store. And like other sports games on the Switch 2, NBA 2K26 is huge; the basketball simulator will take up about 70 GB.

EA Sports FC 26 received an award 7/10 in our review. The instant football is great and the addition of two gameplay presets is welcome, especially for those who spend a lot of time in offline modes. The Authentic preset combined with improvements to the Manager Career mode make FC 26 the best single-player and local multiplayer game in the series in years.
FC 26 is available on current and legacy generation equipment. The PS5 and Xbox Series X editions are the best on consoles. The Switch 2 version runs at 30fps at 900p (720p in handheld mode), but is more stable and much smoother than the original Switch version.
Once again, FC 26 is a Game-Key card for Switch 2 and requires 71.6GB to install. If you're keeping score at home, sports fans who purchase NBA 2K26, Madden 26, and FC 26 on Switch 2 will receive approximately 200GB (80%) of Switch 2 storage tied to the three games.
