Step into the fantasy world of Duo Quest
1+1 Studios has opened registration for testers of Duo Quest, a collaborative deck development that combines strategy, roguelike progression and relationship-based gameplay. This limited playtest offers players an early look at the game's combat system, card synergies, and its special focus on cooperation and personal connections.
Aspiring Paladins can apply via Duo Quest Steam page for a short time. Select players will have access to one full level, featuring a variety of unusual enemies to fight together. Along the way, players will encounter light-hearted yet thoughtful clues that determine the outcome of combat and encourage deeper coordination between partners.
Duo Quest is based on the idea that stronger connections create stronger strategies. Players build decks together, combining abilities and attack timing to overcome encounters. Personal knowledge of your co-op partner is central, as understanding their habits, fears and preferences can unlock powerful cooperative attacks. Friendship, communication and trust become important tools along with maps and tactics.
The game features a special “Tiebreaker” mode that combines relationship-based clues with deckbuilding decisions to create unique combat moments. Procedurally generated levels make each playthrough unique, offering branching paths, hidden secrets, and challenging boss battles. Unlockable content and evolving strategies further enhance replayability.
Players can unlock five classes, each with their own set of cards and playstyle, allowing couples to experiment with different combinations. Throughout each run, they will discover mysterious artifacts that provide significant advantages, change the balance of battle, and encourage creativity in winning.
The game promises to offer a fresh take on cooperative deckbuilding by turning personal connection into a gameplay mechanic. This playtest serves as a promising introduction to a game where strategy and relationships become stronger together.
