Billionaire who invented the frozen burrito dies at 88

Dwayne Roberts — the billionaire businessman credited with inventing the frozen burrito — has died… TMZ has learned.
In a statement from his wife Kelly J. Roberts says he died peacefully in his sleep Saturday night, just days before his 89th birthday. When he died, he was surrounded by his family and three dogs.
Kelly called her husband “a visionary entrepreneur, a devoted husband and a man whose heart and generosity have forever shaped our family and community.”
She continued: “I am so lucky to share 35 wonderful years of marriage with Dwayne. We've built a wonderful life together, working side by side.” She said Dwayne was an incredible husband, stepfather and loving grandfather whose wisdom and warmth touched every generation of their family.
Fun fact: his stepsons, Doug And Casey Reinhardtboth appeared on MTV's The Hills.
After honorable service in the US Army, he revolutionized the food industry with the introduction of the frozen burrito in 1956.
Outside of business, Duane was a proud philanthropist and developer…best known for restoring the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, California. His generosity also extended to animal welfare, education, veterans and the arts.
Duane was 88 years old.
