New England Patriots got right back to winning ways after snapping a 10-game streak last week, and it came from behind.

Patriots won Baltimore Ravens28-24, on track to improve to 12-3 and punch a spot in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Ravens' playoff hopes were further diminished by the Pittsburgh Steelers' win over the Detroit Lions earlier Sunday. Baltimore is now two games behind the AFC North leader at 7-8, meaning they will need to win and Pittsburgh will lose, which includes a Week 18 matchup between the two rivals.

The biggest story to come out of this story was that Lamar Jackson was unable to play all four quarters due to a back injury in the second quarter that ultimately knocked him out of the game.

The injury occurred on a running play when it appeared Jackson had caught the side of a Patriots defender's knee. He immediately winced in pain and left the field, and Tyler Huntley took his place.

When the Ravens came out for the second half, Huntley was still under center and Jackson was nowhere to be seen. He was ruled out and the Ravens, with their playoff hopes, had to trust Huntley to get the job done.

In this regard, things have improved since Derrick Henry scored his second touchdown of the game early in the fourth quarter to make it 24–13.

But Drake May and the Patriots' offense wasn't about to start a losing streak.

May led a seven-play drive, going 73 yards with a Kyle Williams bomb down the field for 37 yards. Not only did they add six points to the score, but they also wanted to cut Baltimore's lead to three points, and did so with a successful two-point conversion.

On the next drive, New England's defense grabbed the ball, forcing May to return the ball. Then, nine plays and 89 yards later, Rhamondre Stevenson, who had to shoulder much of the running back load after TreVeyon Henderson left with an injury during the play, rushed 21 yards for a 28-24 lead.

The Ravens had just under two minutes to play, but Zay Flowers, who had a big game with seven catches for 84 yards and a rushing score, fumbled after catching a short pass and the Patriots recovered.

May then sealed the win with a perfect read, keeping the ball for himself and running 16 yards for the first time, trying to slide before reaching the end zone to kneel before the clock.

On the sidelines, Jackson was 7 of 10 passing for 101 yards and just seven yards to go. Huntley was 9 of 10 for 65 yards, while Henry finished with 18 carries for 128 yards and two scores, including the first touchdown of the game.

In New England, May was right again, going 31-of-44 for 380 yards with two touchdown passes and one interception while rushing for 26 yards. Stefon Diggs may not have found the end zone like Williams and Hunter Henry, but he led the game with 138 yards on nine receptions. Mack Hollins also totaled 69 yards on seven catches.
