Doncic, Reaves sidelined for Lakers’ game against Trail Blazers – Winnipeg Free Press

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Luka Doncic was ruled out of the Lakers' game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night after posting 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against Miami the night before.

Doncic was unavailable due to a calf contusion. An injury forced him to miss three games earlier this season.

Doncic averaged 41.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game this season.

The Lakers were also without guard Austin Reaves due to right groin soreness. Reeves had 26 points and 11 assists in a 130–120 win over Miami. Coach JJ Redick said before Monday's game that Reaves felt pain in the first quarter of the game against the Heat but played through it.

Reeves averaged 31.1 points and 9.3 assists per game this season.

Redick said center Deandre Ayton (back spasms) was a game-time decision.

The Lakers were without LeBron James (right sciatica), Gabe Vincent (sprained left ankle) and Adu Thiero (recovering from left knee surgery).
