While Donald Trump basks in the glory of the Gaza ceasefire, his pride in his involvement in the peace plan was dulled by a Time magazine cover that he claimed featured a “really bad photograph.”
US President Donald Trump appeared in thousands of headlines around the world after his plan to bring peace to Gazabut there was one magazine cover that he vehemently objected to.
After Trump's trip to Israel for the release of hostages and prisoners from Gaza and Israel under recent ceasefire agreement, he signed the declaration in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, along with 20 others world leaders.
Time magazine ran an issue calling the events “His Triumph” and detailing how his administration went to great lengths to try to ensure peace. Despite the congratulatory accompanying article, the US President was very offended by the photograph that the publication decided to use on its cover.

The photo was taken as he looked into the distance with a serious expression on the 79-year-old's face. He is dressed in a smart dark blue suit, white shirt and red tie, but the president is not impressed.
“Time magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but this photo might be the worst of all time,” he fumed. on “Social Truth” early on Tuesday. He added: “They 'disappeared' my hair and then what looked like a flying crown appeared on my head, but it was very small.”
He described the cover as “really strange ” and continued: “I've never liked taking photos from below, but this is a very bad shot and deserves attention. What are they doing and why?
The article itself said that the deal could go down in history as “the signature achievement of Trump's second term” and that it marked a “strategic turning point” for the Middle East. He also highlighted the “painstaking efforts” his administration has made to broker a ceasefire and “calm one of the world's most destabilizing conflicts.”
Trump is known to be a fan of the magazine and first appeared on its cover in 1989. He became “Person of the Year” twice.
In 2016, he told NBC how important the award was to him: “To be on the cover of Time magazine as Person of the Year is a huge honor,” he said. “It means a lot, especially to me growing up reading Time magazine. And, you know, this is a very important magazine.”
However, just a year earlier, when he was running for president for the first time, he complained that he didn't make the cover. German Chancellor Angela Merkel was given an award that angered him.
“I told you that @TIME magazine would never choose me as Person of the Year, even though I’m the biggest favorite,” he seethed at the time. “They chose a man who is destroying Germany.”
