Overthrow your master in Dog Witch
Mystic Forge and solo developer Heckmouse have officially launched the game. Dog Witcha turn-based deck-building roguelike now available on Steam. You can get it for just $9.99 with a 10% discount until November 17th. Created by Rami Ismail and tested by an “older player-tester”, this unusual adventure combines the strategic depth of Slay the Spire with the unpredictable charm of Dicey Dungeons.
Players step into the clutches of the Dog Witch, a half-dog, half-witch of any personality, rolling dice to create wild combinations, battle eccentric opponents, and collect over 150 magical artifacts that change shape with each run.
Designed for fast, endlessly repeatable sessions, Dog Witch challenges players to overthrow the Mad Master Wizard, their former owner. And all the while you travel through a world full of mystical artifacts, corrupted magic and bizarre chaos. Beneath the cute cartoon aesthetic lies a world filled with danger. Every roll of the dice can make or break your destiny. The game's eclectic cast of enemies takes inspiration from surreal shows such as Adventure Time, adding humor and charm.
In honor of the launch, the developer is holding a special promotion for media and content creators. Anyone who covers the game and sends in a photo of their dog can add their furry companion to the game as a playable character.
Heckmouse spent five years bringing the Dog Witch to life, with his mother's retired husband as the only tester. Now, thanks to publisher Mystic Forge and producer Rami Ismail, the game continues to evolve. Heckmaus has already outlined road map post-launch updates including new bosses, enemies, customization features and unlockables, with the first major update arriving in December.
