The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-1 in Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday night to tie the series at one game apiece.
While the Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw a complete game in one run in a historic Los Angeles matchup at Rogers Center, all eyes were on the superstar Shohei Ohtani after the Toronto crowd booed and jeered him in the first game.

During the Blue Jays' crushing 11-4 win on Friday night, the crowd erupted into a chant of “We don't need him!” citing Ohtani's refusal to be recruited by the Blue Jays in the winter of 2023, when he instead joined the Dodgers.
Ohtani didn't hit it until the eighth inning on Saturday, but it was important as he helped the Dodgers rally and extend their lead from 3-1 to 5-1.

Ohtani was seen celebrating hit after hit.
The score stood as Ohtani's Japanese teammate Yoshinobu Yamamoto took the win, throwing a complete game for the second time in a row.
It was the first complete game in the World Series since Johnny Cueto in 2015 and the first time a pitcher had thrown complete games in back-to-back postseason games since Curt Schilling in 2001.
