This is not uncommon, since Mookie Betts continues to book Airbnbs during the series in Milwaukee because of the exciting stories about the hotel.

Hernandez said his wife had heard some stories about alleged problems during her time at Pfister from people close to other Dodgers. However, the player himself is not interested in these stories.

“I don't believe in ghosts,” he said via New York Post. “I've stayed there before. I never saw or heard anything.

“But my wife is on a trip now and she said she doesn’t want to stay there. So we need to find another hotel. But I heard from other players and other wives that in those couple of nights something was happening.”

As for what Hernandez heard from teammates, he said, “In some rooms, the lights go off and on. And I hear noises, footsteps and the like at the door, I don’t know.”

Regardless of the stories, Hernandez is focused on helping his team become World Series champions again, and he helped that cause early in Wednesday's game. Hernandez hit a home run in the top of the second inning, giving the Dodgers the lead after the Brewers took the lead with Jackson Churio's solo homer in their first trip to the plate.

The Dodgers were able to prevent a ninth-inning rally by the Brewers in Game 1 on Monday night when Blake Treinen got Bryce Turang to hit to end the game with the bases loaded for Milwaukee.

If the Dodgers fail to take a two-game lead in the best-of-seven series, there's a chance Hernandez and his wife won't have to return to Milwaukee.
