The Dodgers weren't leading until it mattered much. For most of the game, the Blue Jays contained the Dodgers' primary bats. After Miguel Rojas hit a game-tying home run off Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman, Will Smith hit a go-ahead home run in the 11th inning to give the Dodgers the lead.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who started Game 6, pitched the Dodgers 2.2 innings and finished with a game-winning double.
Los Angeles won the game 5–4 and captured back-to-back titles, becoming the first team to do so since the New York Yankees in 1999 and 2000.
The game had everything a fan could want.
Blue Jays second baseman Bo Bichettewho was battling a knee injury, hit a three-run home run off the nearly infallible Shohei Ohtani. The Toronto fans nearly lost the roof when Toronto took the lead.

However, tensions between the two teams were clearly growing.
Dodgers pitcher Justin Wrobleski hit Andres Jimenez in the bottom of the fourth inning. This caused benches for clearing and the referee must warn both teams.
But the Dodgers began to close the deficit. Teoscar Hernandez hit a sacrifice fly to score Smith in the fourth inning. Tommy Edman then hit a sacrifice fly to score. Mookie Betts in the sixth inning.
Toronto got a huge insurance run when Jimenez doubled to score Ernie Clement to go up 4-2.
It was the eighth and ninth innings that completely changed the game.
Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy made it a one-run game when he hit a solo home run off Trey Yesavage. This forced the Blue Jays to bring Hoffman into the game, perhaps a little earlier than he wanted. Rojas, who recorded his first hit since October 1 earlier in the game, hit the game-tying home run off Hoffman.

The Blue Jays didn't make it easy for the Dodgers.
With one out in the bottom of the ninth, the Blue Jays were a threat. The Dodgers invited Yamamoto to the game. Blake Snell to try to get out of the jam, but he ended up loading the bases.
Yamamoto got Dalton Varsho to ground out to Rojas, who pulled back and fired to catcher Will Smith to bring the force to home plate.
Ernie Clement then stepped up to the plate. He hit the ball as far as he could, and it was going to fly over the head of left fielder Enrique Hernandez. Instead, center fielder Andy Pages tripped Hernandez to get out and save the Dodgers.
Blue Jays pitcher Ceranthony Dominguez was stranded in the 10th inning. But like his counterpart, Dominguez has Page turned into a force at home. Hernandez was then punished Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Dominguez beat the outfielder to first base and was able to catch the throw to end the inning.
