Late last month, the superhero comedy Send was released by AdHoc Studio. The episodic adventure game has since sold 1 million copies in its first 10 days, and fan response has only grown since then. So much so that AdHoc Studio co-founder Pierre Chorette admitted that the game may not be ready after this week's finale.
Shorett and fellow co-founder Nick Herman were guests on Friends per second podcast (via Eurogamer) when the question of a second season of Dispatch came up.
“[I think] that we'll have to at least think about a second season now,” Shorett said. “You know, three weeks ago it was a question mark. So this is a very cool problem.”
Shorett confirmed that AdHoc has already video game project in progress with Critical Rolewhich will take place in the fantasy world of Exandria. Critical Role's Travis Willingham stated that the game will feature a completely new story, but characters from the Vox Machina, Mighty Nein, and Bells Hells campaigns may appear.
The final two episodes of Dispatch's first season premiere on November 12. Dispatch reached a new high on Steam last week. with over 131,000 concurrent players. It is possible that the finale will take the game beyond this mark.
