Disney+ is about to go up in price in Canada

Bye Disney+ made a lot of noise about Hulu's launch worldwideThe streamer is also slowly preparing a price increase.

As reported earlier this week Canadian PressIn November, the price of Disney+ in Canada will increase by as much as $3, depending on subscription level. Here's the full breakdown:

  • Disney+ Standard with ads – $8.99 per month (no change).
  • Disney+ Standard (No Ads) – $15.99/month (now $12.99/month).
  • Disney+ Premium (No Ads) – $16.99 per month (now $15.99 per month).

On your websiteDisney said these prices are already in effect for new monthly subscriptions starting September 30th. Those already signed up for a monthly plan will see the price change on their bill on or after November 4th, while annual subscribers will see the price change on or after November 25th.

Disney first announced price increases in the US at the end of Septemberand it is now introducing similar increases in Canada, the UK and other markets.

The last price increase for Disney+ in Canada occurred last October. and saw that all three levels increased by $1. This was the streamer's second trip in 2024.

However, in terms of Hulu's launch for Canadians, not much will actually change. What this actually means is that the previous Star section of the service, which was available in Canada and other international markets and was home to many Hulu games, is now simply called Hulu.
