In case you are going for a final run Animal Crossing: New Horizons“Happy Home Paradise DLC… maybe not.
I recently returned to Animal Crossing: New Horizons after about four years and find it extremely comforting during these turbulent times, and in fact, just a few days ago I downloaded the Happy Home Paradise DLC, which is free with a subscription to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack. I had a great time customizing the vacationers' homes and unlocking in-game rewards, but obviously there is a limit to the return on investment.
For the uninitiated, Happy Home Paradise takes you to the base island where you talk to villagers and learn their “vision” for the perfect vacation home, then inhabit and furnish said homes with themed items and furniture. In exchange, you get Poki to purchase items and unlock all sorts of cool stuff like partitions, customization options, and eventually the ability to redesign houses on your base island. I'm nowhere near 350 houses, but that seems like the number where Nintendo will officially stop worrying.
“I'm almost disappointed that there is absolutely no acknowledgment, like congratulations, that you designed all the houses, yikes,” Beautiful-Support added. “I was going to redesign houses for extra pokes, but now I’m so lost!”
IN commentthe player says it took them about two years to build every available house, and it would really be a shame if it all ended in nothing at all. How top comment The Reddit thread points out that at least “Breath of the Wild gives you some gold turd for finding all 900 Korok.” Oh, Nintendo.
