Digimon Story: Time Stranger Review
There are legions of gamers for whom the difference between Pokemon and Digimon cannot be more obvious. There are other gamers who mistakenly reject Digimon as a less popular pokemon fakes. The reality is that although they have many similarities and have both huge amounts of goods and content in all the media, they are quite heterogeneous. There may be no better acquaintance with what Digimon makes unique than Digimon Story: Time StrangerField

Time Stranger is the seventh game in the Digimon Story series. Development began in parallel with the 2017 Digimon Story: the memory of a cyber son, but arrival took 8 years. Time Stranger is not a continuation, but, of course, exists in the same universe. It is also the closest that the series came to such a fully implemented JRPG, which is awaiting the general audience. Uniformly excellent visual effects, well-written, vocal history-a franchise, an outstanding battle with a real depth of help time, a stranger.
Time travelers
When I highly appreciated the story of the “stranger”, I Could Added “for Digimon.” Although this is not an incredibly deep premise, the narrative and characters are attractive enough to move and adhere to the player's interest. There are much worst recent loud examples. Yes, we are talking about you, the lost soul to the side.
In short, the digital anomaly of the monsters escaped from the parallel measurement and causes the damage to Tokyo. You are an agent, part of the organization studying these shady anomalies, and you fall into a whirlwind of time. You went out 8 years ago. Your tasks are to find out what happened, find the way home and fight many Digimon.
From the point of view of history, characters and topics, Digimon Story: Time Stranger is a little darker and sharp than anything in Poké-Verse. I can’t recall the Pokémon game with ESRB warnings about “leading thought and suicide”. Now everything is relative, but gamers with disgust for the disinfected world of Pokemon can enjoy Digimon A little A more mature focus.
The stars of the show
Where Digimon Story: Time Shineser Shines is located in its combat and diverse, deep and attractive mechanics for the fight and training of Digimon. You do not add a new digimon to your list, catching them, but fighting with them and scanning them. At a 100% scanning rate, they can be added to your team, but waiting for up to 200% gives them additional abilities from the very beginning.
Of course, Digimon is becoming stronger, participating in the battle, but their development is also associated with the level of the player’s agent and a famous mechanic called Digivolution, where signs of various digimon are combined to form a new species. With an amazing 450 digimon, it is unlikely that players will exhaust possible combinations by adding a huge amount of playback value. Digivolution force really becomes obvious later in the game.
While Digimon increases its main statistics in battle, there are many additional layers that you can pay attention to. A conversation with your Digimon affects their personality and changes their charity, valor, wisdom and assessment of the abilities necessary for some galvanes. Digimon also has elemental strengths, weak sides and stability and levels in seven attributes, including a virus, vaccine and data. These are critical components in battle. In the battle there is an element of rock paper that requires planning and attention.
Unlike Pokemon, there are no random battles. You can see Digimon on the way and often, preventively attack them. This is good, because it can be pulled out of some of these endless battles with low rates. Thanks to attractive animation and an interesting sound design, Digimon itself is very fun to open, fight and talk.
Personality plus
Digimon Story: Time Stranger, of course, is the most graphically complex game in the series, although some environments look quite simple and less inspired. Similarly, in the design of the dungeon there is a slight repetition and lack of imagination, and most side missions bring quests and kill quests, sometimes with several riddles of the environment.
While Time Stranger is an ideal acquaintance with Digi-Avexts for beginners, the game itself begins slowly and takes some time to really start equipment. Nevertheless, this is partly from the need for training so many mechanics. There is a lot to accept.
The first for the series, the majority of NPC and Digimon are voiced, and the English version is not bad. The musical score from the superstar composer Masafumi Takada is excellent, with a dizzying assortment of styles, especially in combat music and meetings with bosses.
Start here
Digimon Story: Time Stranger is one of those rare games that should like both franchise veterans and absolute beginners. A decent story, excellent music and attractive visual effects, concretion on the Digimon cake, a delightful and satisfactory look at the step-by-step formula of the Jrpg battle. With a slightly larger edge and deeper mechanics than its Pok-Russian, Digimon Story: Time Stranger is addictive, fun and, of course, the best game in the Digimon Story series.
