Family, former colleagues, and sometimes both pay tribute to the deceased Diane Ladd. Bruce Dern, Ladd's ex-husband, her Wild angels Laura's co-star and father paid tribute to the “wonderful mother” Ladd was to their daughters. Below are full statements from Ladd's family, as well as her co-stars from her most recent films, such as Island of Hope.

“My amazing hero and my profound gift of mother, Diane Ladd, walked by my side this morning at her home in Ojai, California.

She was the greatest daughter, mother, grandmother, actress, artist and sensitive spirit that seemingly only a dream could create.

We're lucky to have her

Now she flies with her angels.”

“Diana was a stunning actress and I feel like I was a bit of a 'hidden treasure' until she ran into David Lynch when he cast her as Laura's mom in Wild at heart it seemed that then the world truly understood her magnificence.

She has provided great value as a SAG board member for decades, providing the perspective of a true actress.

She lived a good life. She saw everything as it was. She was a great teammate to her fellow actors. She was funny, smart, kind.

But most importantly to me, she was a wonderful mother to our incredible child prodigy. And for that I will be forever grateful to her.”
