Diane Keaton’s Kids Get Tattoos In Her Honor. See the Sweet Design

Diane Keaton was honored in a special way on her heavenly birthday.

Late Oscar winner two children, Dexter and Duke KeatonOn January 5, she celebrated her 80th birthday by sharing photos of the tattoos they got in her honor.

Published on InstagramDexter first posted a photo of her and her mom cuddling with their backs to the camera and looking out at the ocean.

The second photo shows a tattoo on Dexter's arm that says “La Di Da” and a heart. Her brother, whom she tagged, has a tattoo in the same place that reads “Weird Old World.”

“I miss you mom,” Dexter Keaton wrote, adding a broken heart and dove emoji. She also thanked Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Winter Stone “for being an everlasting reminder of my wonderful mom.”

She added black and white heart emojis, a nod to her mother's signature color palette.

She also showed off her black nails with white polka dots and a heart charm bracelet with the initials “DK” on her Instagram Story.

Sarah Paulson, Diane Keaton's close friend and former co-star, also got a tattoo from the same artist and shared her respect for her. Instagram.

“Today you would have turned 80. Too many deep feelings to express here… I was the happiest man in the world, traveling, laughing so hard we cried, watching a million and one movies, actually crying and eating french fries with you,” the actor wrote alongside a beach photo of them. “You. You. Amazing, unique, YOU. I will miss you until the end of time. Thank you.” @winter stone for my eternal reminder of one of my forever people.”

Paulson's tattoo is also on her arm and simply reads “DK” in small print.

Last month, Paulson paid tribute to Diane Keaton during The Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment Gala, where she reflected on their friendship. She also read the funny and heartfelt messages, voicemails and emails that Diane Keaton sent her.

“Annie Hall” star died October 11 aged 79 from bacterial pneumonia.

At the time, her family encouraged people to donate to local animal shelters or food banks in her name—causes that were dear to her heart.
