Deputy ICE Dir. Has a Damning Question for Voters After Another Democrat ‘Interferes’ With Agents – RedState

The deputy director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) posed a tongue-in-cheek question to voters, especially Democratic voters, after Rep. Adelita Grijalva (AZ-07) made outrageous claims about alleged abuses by ICE agents during a raid outside a Tucson, Arizona diner. More on that in a minute.

As RedState wrote:

In the latest example, we have newly sworn-in Democratic Rep. Adelita Grijalva (AZ-07), who on Friday posted a video on X alleging, without evidence, that immigration agents “pushed her aside and pepper-sprayed her” after she admittedly tried interfere with an active operation in Tucson, Arizona:

Grijalva said community members in Tucson stopped about 40 ICE officers, most of them wearing masks, in the middle of the street outside Taco Giro, which Grijalva described as a small family restaurant.

She said community members stopped the officers “because they were afraid they would [the agents] they took people away without due process.”

“I was here—it's like a restaurant that I go to literally once a week—and I got sprayed in the face with a very aggressive agent that was being pushed around by others, even though I literally wasn't aggressive,” Grijalva said in the video posted on social media platform X. “I asked for clarification on what my rights are as a member of Congress.”

Her claims were easily refuted by DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin using common sense, as my colleague Sister Toldja added in her Friday article: letter in the X post:

She was next to someone who was *sprayed* with pepper spray when they were obstructing and attacking law enforcement. In fact, 2 law enforcement officers were seriously injured by this mob, joined by @Rep_Grijalva.

Identifying yourself as a “Member of Congress” does not give you the right to interfere with law enforcement.

The congressional spokeswoman only redoubled her efforts by posting a second video that showed her screaming at the agents to leave:

Woke Democratic Congresswoman Plays Victim After Interfering with ICE Checks, But There's a Problem

Earlier this week, ICE Deputy Director Madison Sheehan appeared on Fox News with host Laura Ingraham to talk about how an Afghan refugee who shot and killed West Virginia National Guardsmen in D.C. was allowed into the U.S. without proper vetting by the Biden administration:

Sheehan told Ingraham that the people responsible for protecting our homeland under Biden “let everyone into this country and none of them were tested. And now Secretary Noem and ICE are trying to clean it up.”

She called it “just another example of someone who hates America and comes to this country as a terrorist.”

But it was during a Saturday chat on Fox News Channel's Fox & Friends Weekend that an ICE official asked a crucial question for anyone considering leveraging Democrats in the midterm elections:

“This is a classic move by Democrats,” she said, “where they want to interfere with law enforcement. At what point in this country did we get to the point where you can [do that]and nothing is happening to you?”

“Our law enforcement officers arrest the worst of the worst, they arrest gang members, murderers and rapists,” Sheehan added.

“If Democrats choose to protect this group of people rather than the American people,” she said, “I think … Democratic voters are going to have to decide what they really believe.”

This is exactly the question Republicans will have to ask again and again between now and November 2026.
