Demi LovatoThe one-night show in Los Angeles may not last long… because TMZ has learned her team is actively exploring larger venues, and even a possible tour after overwhelming demand has sent thousands of fans into a frenzy.
Demi announced the Los Angeles show on her social media account Monday morning, and sources with direct knowledge tell us more than 200,000 people have filled the online queue for the Oct. 25 show at the Hollywood Palladium, which seats just 4,000 fans. 20 minutes later we were informed that the show was sold out.
Our sources say Demi's team immediately began discussing expansion… looking at larger venues and planning logistics for a potential cross-city tour associated with her upcoming album, “It's Not That Deep,” due out October 24th.
We're told the show was supposed to be a little celebratory performance…a chance for Demi to reconnect with fans and debut songs from her new album, including her fan-requested single “Kiss,” which dropped last Friday. But as ticket lines collapsed and fans took to social media asking for more shows, talk quickly moved from the special event to a possible tour strategy.
Our sources say the team is already considering options, but nothing has been decided yet. As one source put it bluntly… “When 200,000 people are trying to buy tickets to a show that seats 4,000, that demand is not being ignored.”
Demi's new era may have started out as “It's Not That Deep”… but judging by this response, it's getting so much more.
We've reached out to Demi's reps for comment…no word yet.
