Deion Sanders refused to allow athletes to be interviewed after Colorado's 52–17 home loss to Arizona. Instead, he took 100% of the attention, trying to shift the blame. Saturday's 35-point home loss a week after Utah defeated Buffalo53-7.

“Don't attack coordinators. Come to me” Sanders said. “Don't attack players. Come to me. It's me. It has nothing to do with any of them. It has everything to do with me.”

Colorado (3-6, 1-5) turned the score over five times. Defense gave up four touchdowns to Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita. The Wildcats scored six of their seven goals in the first half.

“We don’t comply,” Sanders said. “We don't do that, and that's not enough preparation. I know this team personally. I know it intimately. I know a lot of players. They haven't done it (verified). I know when a player quits. I know a quitter when I see one. I haven't seen it.”

Colorado committed a season-high 14 penalties and scored more flags than points by halftime.

“That’s probably the record since I’ve been here,” Sanders said. “It doesn’t make sense, especially considering we’ve finished in the top 25 or something like that in penalties this season. We're doing well. Today was just a terrible penalty. No discipline.”

“I don’t care about criticism. I’m telling you, it’s my fault,” Sanders said. “Criticize me. I was criticized when I came out of the womb. The doctor didn't even like it. I'm fine, so it's my fault. I know what the situation is. I know what the problem is.”
