Deborah Cox and Rufus Wainwright to perform at World Series Games 4 and 5

Deborah Cox and Rufus Wainwright will sing. Canada at the World Series over the next two nights.

Cox, a four-time Juno Award-winning Canadian R&B and soul icon, will sing the anthem tonight before Game 4 of the series. The Toronto Blue Jays lost Games 2 and 3 to the Los Angeles Dodgers after winning Game 1 (and setting an all-time record). The next two games will be played in Los Angeles.

Wainwright, known in both the contemporary pop and classical music worlds, will sing. Canada October 29. The two-time Juno winner and Grammy nominee is known for his 1998 self-titled debut album and 2001 album. Posesand also for his 2009 opera Prima Donna.

The Canadian national anthem was performed by singer-songwriter J.P. Sachs in the third game. Scars on your beauty singer Alessia Cara in the second game and Pharrell Williams and Voices of Fire in the first game. Williams and the gospel choir also performed the American national anthem in the first game.

On the American side, R&B and electronic artist Tinashe will sing. The Star-Spangled Banner at the start of game four, and former Disney star Sofia Carson will sing in game five.

Country star Brad Paisley and pop singer Bebe Rexha sang at the previous two games.

In addition to the World Series, Wainwright will perform at the Légendes Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony along with his sister Martha in Montreal on November 17.

Cox was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the 2022 Juno Awards and is set to tour in November, visiting the Bahamas, New York and Bethesda, Maryland.
