Moonshine Muffin has announced the full release of Dead Oil, coming to Steam on October 17, 2025. Set in a harsh post-apocalyptic wasteland, this roguelike survival driller challenges players to defend a massive armored rig while extracting vital oil and rare metals deep underground. Each expedition tests your nerves, forcing you to make an important choice: dig deeper for valuable resources or race back to hold off the next deadly wave of raiders.
Designed for short, intense and repeatable sessions, Dead Oil combines fast-paced, real-time combat with strategic resource management. Each run forces players to balance offense and defense. They can also experiment with new buildings and upgrades to survive longer against increasingly brutal enemies.
The battle is brutal and merciless. Crowds of melee attackers, armored columns and heavy artillery await those who dare to dig too deep. Between battles, the drilling rig becomes your lifeline, a place to refine oil, repair damage, and upgrade weapons, armor, and drills.
