De La Soul Detail New Album ‘Cabin in the Sky,’ Shares “The Package” │ Exclaim!

Long Island hip hop group From the heart recently announced the release of their upcoming album, Cabin in the Sky. The 20-track album will be released on November 21st via the label Mass appeal.

Cabin in the Sky it is the band's first album since the death of co-founder David Jolicoeur, aka Trugoy the Dove, in 2023. In a press release, Posdnuos explained that the album “lives in the space between loss and light” and also stated: “It's about the pain we carry and the joy that somehow still finds us. This album is therapy and celebration at the same time. There's a vulnerability in these songs because everything we've been through has benefited us. us to this moment, to this album, honoring what we have lost and elevating what remains. Posdnous further said Pitchfork that the band began work on the album in February 2025, piecing together new and pre-recorded tracks featuring Trugoy. With the energy that Dave put into this track, let's allow this marriage to still exist.”

The album is announced by the band “The Package”, produced by Rock. originally created for an album called Premium soul on the rocks but was instead used as the record's lead single, resuming the direction of the work. for Long Island groups. Cabin in the Sky is an addition to Mass Appeal's “Legend Has It” campaign, a seven-album series featuring New York hip-hop heavyweights including Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, Slick Rick and the late Big L.
