At the time, Davina said she was “really angry” when she found out, but felt “much more positive” after her lumpectomy.
Now the TV star has spoken about her recovery in a video for Stand up to cancer. Davina was at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge when a cancer patient asked her how she was doing during a live broadcast of the cancer clinic.
Stuart and his partner Michelle were at the clinic to discuss his battle with bowel cancer. During their emotional chat, Stuart asked how Davina was doing.
Fighting back tears, she replied: “Can I just say, you're asking me this, I can't believe it. “Can I just say something? I'm really good.” Davina also urged viewers not to miss cancer checks during the show.
“Don't be afraid, you are your best defense. It's important to pay attention to your body, yourself and the people who love you,” she said.

“I'm grateful for every minute because I know it can pass and I'm okay with that. I obviously don't want to die – I love life – but I'm not obsessed with death right now.”
She added: “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I'm in such a good place. And it was age that gave me this, because it is experience; you don't gain experience without aging. Some people learn quickly and some don't. It took me about fifty years to learn enough to feel truly, deeply satisfied.”
