Top Cow's Tomb Raider comics had been out of print for a long time before the first volume hit stores in July.

The second volume of Dark Horse's Tomb Raider Colossal Collection concludes the original Lara Croft comic book series with issues 35–50 and two prequel comics.
Once you've finished reading Tomb Raider: The Series, you can dive into the Tomb Raider: Journeys miniseries. The second volume of the Colossal Collection includes all 12 issues of Travel magazine published by Top Cow from 2001 to 2003.
Although Volume 2 of The Colossal Collection contains a smaller portion of the main series, it is actually a thicker book thanks to the Journey miniseries and five episodes. Some of the one-shots are essentially two issues in one; The Greatest Treasure of All (2005) and One Thousand and One Nights (2004) – 48 pages each.

Top Cow's Tomb Raider comics were released when the franchise was at its peak, so they were quite popular at the time. The comics take place in the same continuity as the games developed by Core Design, with some changes to Lara Croft's story. The series featured talented artists and writers including Dan Jurgens, Adam Hughes, Michael Turner, Andy Park, Marc Silvestri, David Finch and several others.

The third volume will be the most colossal Tomb Raider collection yet. It is 1144 pages long, which is 200 pages longer than the second volume. It collects all of the Dark Horse comics published between 2013 and 2018 as side stories for the video game reboot trilogy. These comics have been out of print for a long time, but on April 28, 2026, the third volume of The Colossal Collection will bring them all back into one book.

Tomb Raider: The Beginning is a 52-page prequel comic to the 2013 Crystal Dynamics game. The subsequent 18-issue Tomb Raider arc bridged the gap between the first game and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Tomb Raider Vol. 2 is a 12-issue arc that begins with an investigation into a cult obsessed with immortality. It was followed by a pair of four-issue miniseries: Survivor's Crusade and Inferno. These three storylines take place between Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The third volume also includes five companion issues to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Temple of Osiris.
Creators who have worked on Dark Horse's Survivor Trilogy comics include Rhianna Pratchett, lead game writer for Crystal Dynamics, as well as Mariko Tamaki and Gail Simone.
