New details about what we can expect from Daredevil: Reborn Season 2 surfaced in an interview with producer Sana Amanat, who says Empire that the show's creators had an open path when planning a new installment of the hit show.
“The landscape was open, and it was very liberating,” producer Sana Amanat tells Empire in season two. “We thought, 'We can do whatever we want.' The magazine details that Matt Murdock will spend part of the second season of Born Again creating a “vigilante army” to fight Wilson Fisk, who is now the mayor of New York City, using his powers to outlaw superheroes in his jurisdiction.
“What does it mean for Fisk when he got everything he wanted?” Amanat teases. “When you give a man whose thirst cannot be quenched his most valuable treasure, is it enough? Or is he clutching his treasure too tightly?”
This mirrors the plot of the Daredevil story “Reign of the Devil”, in which the Kingpin steals the mind-controlling powers of Zebediah Killgrave, the Purple Man, to exert his will over all of New York, although he becomes more and more violent and unhinged as he uses his power more and more, resulting in Fisk being removed from office.
WITH Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) has also confirmed her participation in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.could the mind control powers of her nemesis Killgrave reappear in the hands of the Kingpin? Amanat says the stakes are “personal” for Jessica Jones, which could hint that Fisk is using Killgrave's malevolent powers for his own purposes.
“[Jones] doesn’t necessarily know how to work in a team,” explains Amanat. “So the reason she came back is because it feels very personal. She brings an edge and a lightness—Daredevil can be very dark and dramatic, and she cuts through the bullshit in a very fun way.”
The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus March 4, 2026. While we wait, stay up to date with all the news. upcoming Marvel movies and shows which are in work.
