EXCLUSIVE: Industry veteran Danny Tipping launches unscripted producer Longwave Studios.
The British company begins work with a crime and investigation commission called Bodies on the bridgeA two-part docuseries about the tragic and bizarre story of the 2024 murders of Albert Alfonso and Paul Letchworth in West London by Jostin Mosquera and the killer's failed attempts to dispose of his victim's bodies on the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol.
Longwave is produced in conjunction with Krempelwood and distributed internationally by Blue Ant Rights. The document is currently in production.
Dan Corn, vice president of programming at Hearst Networks, ordered the series along with Diane Carter, commissioning editor and head of talent, who executive produces the series.
Headquartered in London, Longwave will focus on factual content for the global television market across all non-scripted genres – from investigative series, factual entertainment formats to human interest stories. It will employ a team of producers and creatives.
“We are thrilled to be working with the incredible team at Longwave Studios on their first film, a traumatic but important story about the sinister workings of the dark web and sex tourism, and the superb work of two police forces to bring the perpetrator to justice,” said Corn.
