The Chicago Bears pulled off an impressive win over the Washington Commanders on Monday night, but it came at a price. Star DJ Moore did not travel back with the team, but spent the night in a hospital in DC.
After the game, the Bears announced that Moore was being taken to a local hospital for “precautionary medical attention.” The team did not report Moore's specific injury.
Moore had three catches for 42 yards in the Bears' narrow 25–24 victory in Week 6. He took several hard hits in the bout and was seen grimacing on the sideline at times, but he never left the game. On the team's last ride that night, Moore installed several key blocks this allowed running back D'Andre Swift to get the team within field goal range.

Moore, 28, has excelled since joining Chicago, leading the team in receptions in 2023 and 2024. He has gotten off to a slow start this season due to the emergence of Reem Odunze, although Moore still ranks second on the team in catches.
Moore has been remarkably healthy throughout his career, appearing in 17 games in four straight seasons. If he has to miss time, the Bears can rely more on Odunze and rookie Luther Burden, who showed strong run-after-the-catch skills in the team's Week 6 win over Washington.
