Cygames raises the spirit of racing
Cygames, Inc.Tokyo-based developer and publisher, has entered into a new partnership with the Los Angeles Turf Club, the group that operates Santa Anita Park under 1ST. With this agreement, Cygames becomes the primary sponsor of the American Oaks (G1). The event will take place on Friday, December 26th at Santa Anita Park. With this sponsorship, the event will be known as the American Oaks (G1), presented by Cygames.
American Oaks are one of the most respected breeds of 3-year-old mares. It offers a $300,000 purse and covers 1 ¼ miles of Santa Anita's famous turf course. The race began in 2002 as the American Oaks Invitational Stakes and achieved international G1 status two years later. Since then, he has attracted constant attention from fans in the United States and many other regions.
The 2025 edition will use the Cygames name throughout the event. The company's logo will appear in the racing program, on the big screen at the racecourse, and on the saddle blankets used by competing horses.
Santa Anita Park CEO Nate Newby noted that the American Oaks brings together the strengths of both North American and international racing. He explained that the collaboration with Cygames furthers the track's goal of bringing racing to a wider global audience. This creates memorable sporting and entertainment moments.
Cygames President Koichi Watanabe shared that the company views sponsorship as an important chance to introduce more people to its creative work. He said expanding the company's presence is part of its long-term vision. And that supporting the famous event is a significant step towards developing a culture of entertainment and racing.
