SUSPECTS WANTED FOR JEWELERY STORE ROBBERY

York Regional Police are seeking the public's help in identifying three male suspects wanted in connection with a botched robbery at a jewelry store in Vaughan.

Police said at 1:21 p.m. Tuesday, a male suspect entered the jewelry store in the area of ​​Fame Avenue and Colossus Dr. and spoke with staff while holding the inside door open before leaving.

Employees believed this was an attempt to prevent the lockout. Although officers were able to close the interior door, they witnessed six masked men exit a dark SUV.

Police say the men approached the store's entrance armed with at least one hammer before realizing the doors were locked. The suspects fled in an SUV.

There was no damage and no items were stolen. No injuries were reported.
