And while the 25-year-old wowed fans with his portrayal of the Russian hockey star, he admitted he found the accent “ridiculous” at first.
“You think, ‘I’m not saying that,’” he continued. “Of course not. But if you normalize it – both for yourself and for the people around you – it starts to seem real. I think that's why people convince themselves that they have a bad accent. They don't allow themselves to speak incorrectly at first.”
