Jessie Compher scored her first two goals of the season late in the third period to help the Toronto Scepter hold off a 4-3 win over New York on Sunday, offsetting a two-goal effort by the Sirens' Kristina Kaltunkova, the top pick in this year's draft.
Compher scored at 9:19 to give the Scepter (3-0-1-2) a 1-0 lead first with help from Ellie Munroe and Maggie Connors. Compher made it 4-2 when she took a pass from Claire Dalton and scored with 1:37 left in the game at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
