comedian Ian Edwards Here's some advice for anyone who still wants to enjoy the work of their favorite canceled artists despite all the unfortunate accusations… just don't find out about it!
In her new YouTube comedy special, “Untitled. The comedy special you didn't know you needed” Ian jokes: “If you've seen Michael Jackson documentary on HBO and you're still listening to his music, you piece of crap… I haven't seen the documentary.”
The special, currently airing, was filmed at the Comedy Store and offers even more gems… “Why do pregnant couples have gender reveal parties if they don't know what gender their baby will be? What if you are wrong and burned half of California with the wrong color of smoke!”
Comedy fans may know Ian from his appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience or his memorable role in the Oscar-winning director's 2015 cult classic Tangerine. Sean Baker …but Ian is also the executive producer of the hit Netflix comedy series Survival of the Fattest, starring Michel Buteauand was previously a writer Judd Apatow Executive Producer of the HBO series Crashing.
TMZ caught up earlier with Ian in Los Angeles last year…he had a shrewd understanding of why he would continue to make the most of his Fourth of July despite growing calls at the time to boycott America's birthday.
“I'm not going to throw away the holiday and disrespect [my ancestors] like this,” Ian told us, referring to the fact that many slaves were not allowed to celebrate holidays. “It's time to have fun!”
Ian's first comedy special, 100% Half-Assed, was released on Conan O'BrienTeam Coco Records in 2014.
