Colorado junior defensive end to transfer after injury plagued season

Colorado According to On3's Hayes Fawcett, the junior defensive lineman plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Okunlola joined Buffalo ahead of the 2024 season after two years in Pittsburgh. He started 10 games in 2024, finishing with 30 tackles, eight quarterback hurries, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, three third-down stops and a pass breakup. In 2025, he only played in the first season before suffering a season-ending injury.

The Buffs sorely missed the Brockton, Mass. native's punch on a defensive line that struggled to resist the run. He was projected to be one of the top defensive linemen on Colorado's 2025 roster.

Okulola is set to enter the portal when it opens on January 2, with one year remaining on the eligibility period.
