College basketball AP Top 25 prediction: UNC moves up in rankings

CBS Sports Graphics

AP voters deserved an early holiday gift from the college basketball gods with a dull, sleepy results week in which every team ranked in the top 11 either didn't play or went undefeated. In total, only five teams ranked last week were defeated.

Voters can't mail in their ballots without some effort, but the top 10 could very well remain the same as last week. And here's what I expect it to look like when the survey is released on Monday.

There will be big changes for the number 12 teenagers this week. AlabamaNo. 13 IllinoisNo. 16 Texas Tech and No. 18 Florida all suffering losses. No. 23 Nebraska win over No. 13 Illinois and No. 25 UCLA loss to No. 8 Gonzaga should also be a factor in the final tables.

The biggest mover is Nebraska, which just last week appeared in the AP poll for the first time this season at No. 23. Its win over 13th-ranked Illinois will all but guarantee it will climb into the teens, ahead of Illinois. Nebraska is one of seven remaining undefeated teams.

So how else could the ratings change on Monday?

My prediction for how voters will vote is below. Arizona And Michigan clinging to the top two spots after another perfect week.
