CN honors EcoConnexions partners promoting sustainable practices
MONTREAL, Dec. 02, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — CN (TSX: CNR) (NYSE: CNI) today announced the release of its Responsible Sustainability Report 2024marking the 10th edition of the Company's full disclosure of its sustainability performance. The report charts CN's progress and outlines actions taken to improve operational excellence by further linking sustainability to the core of its business strategy.

Key points from the 2024 Responsible Activity Report
- Wednesday: Achieved a 4% improvement in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions intensity compared to 2023, and increased the use of renewable fuels to almost 10% of locomotive fuel. CN continued to make progress towards its science-based ambitions for 2030 and 2050.
- Safety: Recorded the second-best injury rate in CN history and reduced train accident rates by nearly 8% year over year, and implemented enhanced behavior-based safety training to identify and manage workplace safety risks for frontline managers.
- People: Provided more than 1 million hours of training, expanded accessibility capabilities at more than 30 Canadian sites and strengthened employee wellness programs.
- Community: Contributed approximately $20 million to community initiatives, handled over 56,000 public line inquiries, and trained 97% of CN's procurement and supply management team on sustainable purchasing.
- Control: Ranked #1 among 215 companies in the S&P/TSX Composite Index for Corporate Governance Practices, demonstrating CN's commitment to integrity and transparency.
