The Cincinnati Bengals have signed Saskatchewan Roughriders wide receiver Donte Meyers to an NFL futures contract, sources say.
The 25-year-old had a breakout season in the CFL in 2025, recording 65 catches for 1,056 yards with eight touchdowns to become a star in the West Division and help the Riders win their 112th Gray Cup. He first joined Saskatchewan in 2024, registering 24 receptions for 349 yards and one score as a CFL rookie.
The five-foot-ten, 190-pound target finished his collegiate career at Delta State University, an NCAA Division II program located in Cleveland, Mississippi. In 24 games, Meyers had 120 receptions for 1,542 yards with 13 touchdowns, earning first-team all-conference selection in his senior season for the Statesmen. He transferred from Presbyterian College, where he played in 20 games and caught 54 passes for 671 yards and seven touchdowns.
After an NCAA career, Meyers ran for 4.54 yards at his pro day. He also posted a 4.23 shuttle, 6.99 three-cone, 35-inch vertical broad jump and 10-foot six-inch broad jump, as well as 15 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. After going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Brooklyn, New York native accepted an invitation to rookie minicamp with the Atlanta Falcons.
Before signing his first NFL contract, Meyers worked out for five NFL teams in the offseason: the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Bengals and Miami Dolphins. He was scheduled to become a CFL free agent on Tuesday, Feb. 10, meaning Meyers would be eligible to sign with any CFL team if Cincinnati released him after that date.
The Bengals failed to make the NFL playoffs, finishing third in the AFC North with a 6–11 record.
