Kansas City ChapterWide receiver Rushy Rice found himself in the end zone early Sunday morning against the Las Vegas Raiders as he appeared in his first NFL game back from suspension.
Rice caught a shovel pass from Patrick Mahomes on the Chiefs' first road trip in Week 7. It was a 2-yard score as Kansas City took a 7-0 lead.

The third-year receiver served a six-game suspension for his involvement in a traffic accident in Dallas in 2024. He pleaded guilty to two felony charges including “collision resulting in serious bodily injury” and “highway racing resulting in bodily injury.”
Officials in Dallas said Rice has paid more than $115,000 in restitution to victims and his 30-day prison sentence can be served at any time during his five years of probation.

Rice also suffered torn ACL in Week 4 last year when he collided with Mahomes after an interception. He was able to recover and participate in training camp, but once the season began, he remained away from the team as part of the punishment he agreed to following his suspension.
He said earlier this week that he was looking forward to his first game in more than a year.
“I was looking forward to it. I think it's been about 380 days since I played a regular season game,” he said.

As a rookie in 2023, Rice had 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl that season.
