Cardi turned her son's umbilical cord into a heart-shaped gold pendant made by Juliana Marie Coronaowner of Mommy Made Encapsulations.
In a video published on the website of an encapsulation specialist Instagram On November 20, Juliana shared the process of forming a heart from the umbilical cord before dehydrating it and dipping it in gold chrome.
“Where her journey began… turned into a memory she will cherish forever,” Juliana wrote along with a video of the process. “The umbilical cord is the very first connection between a mother and her child, the lifeline that nourished, protected and carried them through every moment of pregnancy.”
“It's always an honor to create this keepsake, but to do it for Cardi and her sweet baby again means the world to us,” she added. “Turning something so meaningful into a piece that can be kept, remembered and cherished forever is one of the most special parts of what we do.”
