Capcom seek new heights as they whisper potential new Ace Attorney, Mega Man, and Devil May Cry games into existence

I'm sure the words “new” and “Ace Attorney game” served as sleeper agent activation words for some of you, and these are words that Capcom themselves have kind of thrown together, but let's slow down before we get carried away. As I noticed Mega Man fan site Rockman CornerCapcom released their integrated report for 2025which is mostly boring, corporate bullshit. That's it. But! This also suggests that the developer is thinking about new ways to further develop series like Ace Attorney, as well as Mega Man and Devil May Cry.

Apologizing for business here, but here's what Capcom should have said: “Capcom owns many globally popular brands such as Mega Man, Devil May Cry and Ace Attorney. We strive to expand our user base and improve our performance through new releases, remakes, and ports of games from these series to new hardware. By building the strength of the brand and cultivating a loyal fan base, we will transform them into core IPs.” Just one second, you need to very quickly wash away the stench of buzzwords.

That's right, back! Obviously, this does not 100% confirm the existence of a new game like any of the games mentioned. However, at this point, as far as I know, literally only the Professor Layton x Ace Lawyer crossover remains to be ported, so maybe there's hope for both that and something new, you rabid Phoenix x Miles shippers.

As for Mega Man, there hasn't been a new mainline game since 2018. Megaman 11leaving plenty of room to wake up. Devil May Cry 5 came out in 2019, so it's no surprise that Capcom wants to breathe life into it, even though it got a new mobile game last year. The developer has done well in recent years with Resident Evil, Monster Hunter (well, not so much you Wilds) and Street Fighter, so it's no surprise they're interested in a bigger piece of the pie. Now all we need is a reboot of Dark Void, the series everyone desperately wants to come back. Right? Right?
