Larry Reda, a legendary British Columbia football administrator, died Thursday at the age of 94. TSN correspondent Farhan Lalji was the first to report the news.

Reda was inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame as a builder in 2015 in recognition of his lifetime contributions to the sport. He was also a member of the BC Football Hall of Fame in 2011 and received both the CFL Commissioner's Award and the 12th Man North Award from the Seattle Seahawks that year.

A firefighter by trade, Reda began coaching youth soccer on Vancouver's North Shore in 1956 and continued to play the sport for 50 years. He served two terms as President of the British Columbia Amateur Soccer Association (now known as Football BC) and was the Executive Director of the British Columbia Secondary School Soccer Association for more than 20 years.

Reda also served as a director and president of the British Columbia Soccer Conference and was named a life member of the Canadian Junior Soccer League. He was a trustee of the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame selection committee, chairman of the school's Subway Bowl championships, and founded the Western Canada All-Star Football Camp, held annually at Simon Fraser University.
