When Escape from Tarkov was first released in the early 2010s, it offered a new take on the shooter game. Instead of just killing everyone, it was about getting in and getting out alive. And since then, the extraction mode has become a mainstay, including in Call of Duty: Mobile with the new addition DMZ: Recon.
Already announced, DMZ: Recon now has not only a new trailer giving a taste of what to expect from the mode, but also a full release date of December 11th. If you've played Warzone, you know what to expect. Complete the assigned task and get to the evacuation site before time runs out.
Moreover, DMZ: Recon has some roguelike elements where you gain loot and become more capable with each playthrough. This probably won't satisfy die-hard Tarkov fans looking for extreme realism, but for a more dynamic and action-packed take on the concept, it's more than acceptable.

Now I really need to eat the crow. Because perhaps you remember that last year the long-awaited Warzone Mobile has finally arrived on digital storefronts with its own DMZ mode. “What…” I wondered, “will happen to poor little CoD Mobile, clearly the weak link in this situation?”
Well, fast forward a few months and Warzone Mobile is shutting down, while Call of Duty: Mobile is taking its place in the mobile shooter extraction space. I'm very rarely wrong (don't fact check this) but I have to hold my hands up and admit that CoD Mobile came out on top.
