Having dropped just two points all season, defending champions Bayern Munich will be looking to maintain their unbeaten Bundesliga record on Saturday when they host a Mainz side for whom the winter holidays can't come soon enough.

Vincent Kompany's men secured a routine 3-1 win over Sporting in the UEFA Champions League this week, further cementing their place in the automatic qualification spots. They go into today's meeting aiming to maintain a comfortable eight-point lead over RB Leipzig at the top of the Bundesliga table.

Although Mainz coach Urs Fischer has seen his side do well in the European Conference League this season, strong European form appears to come at a heavy price domestically. A 1-0 home defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach last weekend kept Nylfünfer at the bottom of the table.

Bayern Munich will host Mainz 05 on Sunday 14 December at the Allianz Arena. The match is scheduled to start at 17:30. CET local time in Germany, which makes it 16:30 GMT start in the UK. This 11:30 am ET or 8:30 am PT. launch in the USA and Canada, as well as 3:30 am ET We start in Australia early on Monday morning.
