The Owen Sound Attack was in North Bay over Thanksgiving to engage the battalion on Monday afternoon. On Sunday evening, they stopped by Gateway Golf LTD. for dinner and socializing.
Bedkowski said picking poultry and a tendency to sweat were to blame for the disconnect between him and his golf club.

“I'm just a really sweaty guy,” Bedkowski said after the Owen Sound Attack beat the Barrie Colts 6-0 on Wednesday night, part of the club's four-game winning streak. “It was just an unfortunate combination of sweaty hands and chicken juice. I took a hard swing with the iron four and it just slipped right at the end of my swing.”
The video shows the golf club flying high overhead as Bedkowski and nearby teammates duck for cover. Someone can be heard saying a rather cheeky “oh my lord” as laughter breaks out.
Bedkowski, laughing and looking somewhat confused, begins wiping his hands on his shirt.
Los Angeles Kings prospect Carter George was sitting at the next table when it all happened.
“I was the only one from my table who actually saw the putter fly,” he said. “I was looking at the TV and then I just saw the baton fly into the kitchen. Then all the guys were ducking and laughing, and I thought: what the hell just happened?”

“All the guys asked me what happened, and I said, 'Well, Bedsey just threw his baton into the kitchen,'” George said.
The edited security footage humorously switches to a different angle to show the establishment's kitchen. A clanging sound is heard before employees immediately go to investigate the area near the large pizza oven.
Four irons somehow managed to land under a pizza oven and between another row of regular ovens. An employee picks it up and hands it to Clubhouse co-owner Louis Landry, who looks at it rather nonchalantly.
Landry's wife and Clubhouse co-owner Jill Dupuis said this isn't the first time a customer has lost control, but it is the first time the club has ended up in the kitchen.
“We didn’t even know what happened until we walked up and looked and saw the dent in the wall,” Dupuis said. “It was comical from the start. Especially with the kids' reactions to what happened. It was kind of over the top.”
Bedkowski said the employees quickly shared the security footage with the team for another laugh and asked them all if it was okay to share the footage on social media. Bedkowski, who is both good at sports and a good athlete, agreed.
“They were great. Luckily nothing broke and they were really cool about it,” the Buffalo Sabers prospect said.
The video was picked up and shared by Bardown to his more than 200,000 followers on X.

Dupuis said that according to their social media statistics, the video has been viewed more than 500,000 times, in addition to Bardown's audience.
Bedkowski said a lot of people reached out to him and the jokes became quite repetitive.
“People think I didn’t see it, but believe me, I saw it,” he said.
Owen Sound Attack ended the night on virtual channels, with Bedkowski even returning to the wheelhouse for another round.
“I said I was done, but luckily we have a good group of guys who encouraged me to go out and finish the night. It was a lot of fun,” he said.
George wasn't sure if the team had declared a winner for the night, but he noted that Nicholas Sikora, who had already scored eight goals in his first 10 Ontario Hockey League games, likely had the best total.

“He's hot right now.”
Dupuis and Landry have owned the simulated golf business since July 2024. They have a partnership with the battalion and visiting OHL teams often stop by if they have time.
“If they come to our place for dinner, we offer two hours of golf for free team bonding. The boys can come and enjoy the place to themselves. They can just come, relax, play golf, eat and then go to a game the next day,” Dupuis said. “As you can see, it's a lot of fun.”
The Owen Sound Attack is expected to take place next year, and Dupuis said employees joked about Bedkowski autographing the area next to an indentation cut out of drywall.
“We love having them in the group, they’re just great,” Dupuis said.
