Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes continues to impress in a red shirt.
Summer rumors

Help yesterday
Despite playing a deeper role in central midfield, Fernandes continued to make an impact at the top of the pitch.
It was his world-class assist that gave Harry Maguire the chance to snatch the winning goal at Anfield against Liverpool.
When Brian Mbeumo's shot was blocked, he expertly dispatched the ball back into the box with first-time effort, giving Liverpool's defense no time to settle, with Maguire doing the rest with his trademark header.
Climbing up the leaderboard
Fernandes had already scored the decisive goal last month with his own goal. 100th for the club in a 2-1 win over Chelsea.
His assist against Liverpool now means that “Bruno Fernandes is now Manchester United's fifth-highest assist in Premier League history.”
Fernandes leveled with Eric Cantona (51) but has now overtaken the French legend.
Besides, “only Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, David Beckham and Paul Scholes have more.”
Scholes has 55 gearsso Fernandes will surely be looking to overtake the legendary midfielder this season.
He has every chance of breaking Ryan Giggs' record of an incredible 163 assists.
What makes Fernandes' effort even more impressive is that he has largely played in an average team by United standards and in a team that has failed to capitalize on its chances.
Bruno Fernandes is fifth in assists for Manchester United in Premier League history (52).
